Your Wedding Cake
The journey
Take a look below at the step by step process of how things work when you enquire about your wedding cake with me.
Step One
If you haven't already done so, pop over an enquiry via the contact form to check your date is available.
I recommend you book your cake 12 to 18 months before your wedding day, as some dates, particularly the summer months fill up quickly. I only take a maximum of two wedding cake orders per week in the peak months so i can give your cake my full care and attention.
Once I have confirmed your date is available we can discuss your requirements and initial design ideas.
You can secure your date with a non-refundable £75.00 booking fee.
This will confirm your date in my diary.
Dates cannot be held without a deposit
Step Two
The Fun Part!
After securing your date, I will be in touch to organise a taster box filled with my six most popular flavours. I offer these at selected times throughout the year to allow you plenty of time to make a decision.
Each tier can be a different flavour and all my cakes are covered with a white chocolate ganache, this provides great stability and most importantly tastes delicious!
Taster boxes are included within the booking fee, or if you would prefer to try before booking these can be purchased for £25.00 (plus delivery postage if required)
Step Three
Now its time to discuss the finer details of your cake design, and plan how it will compliment the rest of your wedding.
Any colour samples, stationary, themes etc are very helpful at this stage.
Once we have the design finalised, I'll begin working on your cake sketch based on everything we have discussed to help you visualise your wedding cake and provide you with your tailored quote.
Step Four
A month before the big day I will be in touch to confirm all of the final design details, flavours and timings are correct.
This is also when the remaining balance is due.
The week of your wedding I will be in contact with your venue and florist, if required, to arrange the delivery and set up details.
All you need to do is relax and look forward to your special day and of course..... a slice of cake!
Delivery
I personally deliver and set up all wedding cakes on the morning of your wedding. Delivery is charged at 75p per mile based on a return journey.
Stand Hire
I have a small collection of stands available to hire when you purchase a wedding cake. It is £15 to hire for 7 days, plus a security deposit of £50 which is refunded once I receive the stand back.
